The 2020 season is now closed. We look forward to the return of Peoria's 2nd Saturdays in early 2021.
What we're looking for in your video submissions:
1. A short backstory of how you got involved in your business. What your business means to you.
2. A showcase of goods, services, or demonstration
3. How people can support you with a website URL and/or phone number for them to contact you.
*The above can be done in whatever order you feel comfortable.
Approximate timeframes of videos:
Art / handmade demonstration: 10 minutes
Chefs: 10-15 minutes
Musicians: 15-20 minutes
Local Businesses: 5 minutes
Key notes:
*If using a phone, please film horizontally (widescreen).
*Do NOT include any copyrighted music. Facebook will automatically mute the sound as a result. The only exception to this is if you are performing live music.
*Make sure all content is family friendly.
*Please, please, please make sure you speak / performer loudly. After you film, watch the playback. Can strangers know what you're saying? Audio is SO important for virtual events.
*Are you shy? Don't avoid participating because of that! You can do a product showcase from behind the camera. Have your kid be your spokesperson! Get creative! Don't be intimidated. This is all about and for YOU and your business! Give yourself grace. We acknowledge that Spielberg is not in isolation with you.
*The goal of this event is to build community and get the word out about the amazing work YOU are doing, make it easy for people to follow you, support you or buy a product. Make sure to end with a clear call to action.
*Please watch and SHARE the videos on event day. Our first event had a large reach. If we all commit to cross-promoting on each of our own platforms, by sharing the video content, we can reach all of Peoria and beyond! #InItTogether
